Diaspora Village Batroun - Astarte

Great Location and Design, But Fails on Cleanliness and Maintenance Positive: The Lebanese Diaspora Village has a lot of potential. The location in Batroun is excellent, and the traditional stone architecture of the place is genuinely beautiful. Also, I like the names of the rooms using ancient Phoenician names. Negative: The actual stay did not meet my expectations due to poor maintenance and service. The room and bathroom were simply not clean enough when I arrived. To make matters worse, the water pressure was incredibly weak, and the water was cold. Finally, the breakfast provided was highly mediocre and disappointing for a place like this.It is a shame because the property itself is visually stunning, but they urgently need to improve their cleanliness, breakfast quality, and basic room maintenance.

Centrally located with phoenician flair Positive: The breakfast was great. A bit more Zaatar and Cheese manaeesh instead of Nutella would be great Negative: Nothing

We had a most enjoyable stay and would definitely come back again. Positive: The central location and ambience and cleanliness of it all. Negative: The 23 steps up to the room ! Also , breakfast arrangements did not work too well - our breakfast was taken by another guest on the first morning. And no arrangement for a take-away breakfast was made for us on the last morning ( when we departed at 5am ). Therefore , we only received breakfast on one of the three mornings !

Will book it again for sure. Positive: The hospitality and the kindness of the staff was more than expected. The place is so charming and so accessible. Negative: The shower power of the water. Would have liked it to be stronger.
