Diaspora Village Batroun - White House

Authentic Vibes, Perfect Location, Unforgettable Stay Positive: The location is absolutely WOW, Right in the center of Batroun’s old city and close to everything. We stayed at The American, specifically the "White House," and it was wonderful! The stones and decoration are beautifully maintained, perfectly matching the old city vibes. After check-in, we received three keys: one for the main house (shared living room and kitchen), one for your private room with bathroom, and one for the safe. The entrance can be through the restaurants at the main gate or via the backyard stone arch. Personally, I preferred the back entrance, especially if you have luggage. The area truly feels like a village, with a variety of restaurants that offer every type of dining you could imagine, from authentic Italian cuisine to delicious local Lebanese. It also has a souvenir shop, local products store, and even an authentic church nearby. Special thanks to Mrs. Tania for her excellent online support and to Mr. Ahmed for his warm assistance on-site. Would I recommend it to family or friends? Absolutely YES! Would I return when visiting Batroun? Absolutely YES! We loved everything about our stay and can’t wait to return. Negative: Areas for Improvement Breakfast: Served at 9:30 to the living room, which is a bit late for early risers. The breakfast is simple but sufficient; if staying several days, you might want to explore other options in the city. Payment: Payment is made upon check-in in cash, whereas many places do it at check-out. No receipt is usually issued, but it worked fine based on good faith. Reception: There is no formal reception for the houses. We were a bit unsure about where to return the keys at check-out, but this system makes sense given the advance payment setup.

Definitely would come back and try it again in the winter times Positive: What I liked about Despiora Village was the location and the authenticity of the architecture. The service was great, and the staff were very friendly — especially one lady (I forgot her name) who was particularly kind. Negative: What I didn’t like was that we had to pay in cash, and we weren’t informed of this in advance.

Not great. Positive: Misleading post Negative: It says one-bedroom house and it turns out to be one bedroom with a shared living space and kitchen (more of a entrance than a living room).

Positive: All was good Negative: They didn’t mention on the description that there is 3 rooms inside the house, and you may have to be in the same place with people you don’t know. It shows that you get the entire house which is not the case. We were lucky the two other rooms were not reserved, or else i wouldn’t have stayed. The manager there was very nice on the phone and promised me she will lock the rooms online so noone can reserve that night in case.
